Able Chimney Sweeps is BBB accredited with superb standing. We belong to the National Chimney Sweep Guild and are Buy Veteran affiliated.

Able Chimney Sweeps is fully insured and carries WCB coverage for all workers. WETT certified technicians regularly attend industry-related training and events to ensure Able is kept abreast of the most up-to-date innovations in products and training.

Owner/Operator

After retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces, John purchased Able Chimney Sweeps. From the beginning, John worked to implement core values that he lived during his time as a Canadian military member. Over time while undergoing necessary staffing changes and process improvements, Able has continuously strived to reach the highest levels of adherence to its core values. These core values are to be followed in all aspects of staff members’ operational activities (for example, relating to customers, governmental obligations, other firms in the industry, and any other stakeholders).

From his military career, John brought the five core values of integrity, loyalty, courage, stewardship, and excellence to his approach to his customers, his staff, Able’s competition, and to Able Chimney Sweeps itself. More specifically:

Integrity – John and other staff members are to be honest, forthright, and exhibit strong moral principles in all aspects of their work while working for Able;

Loyalty – each staff member is to exhibit the utmost respect and support to customers before, during, and after service is completed;

Courage – to do what is right, regardless of the situation. To take responsibility for ones’ actions and exhibit a high level of personal responsibility. To ensure that customers are treated fairly, honestly, respectfully, and professionally; 

Stewardship – of Able Chimney Sweeps to ensure the entity provides the highest quality, ethical, and professional service that it can to customers; and

Excellence – to provide the best service possible, to continually upgrade staff skills and equipment, to provide the most efficient and professional service that we can.

After some recent staff departures, John is very excited to welcome Rhea as the new scheduler/secretary and Jeff as the new lead technician. Both Jeff and Rhea espouse Ables’ core values and strive to continuously improve their service to Able customers.
